Abstract
BACKGROUND: Split liver transplantation (SLT) has been occasionally performed in Korea. This study compared the incidence and prognosis of SLT with whole liver transplantation (WLT) in adult patients.Entities:

Fig. 1Comparison of the posttransplant liver CT images taken within 1 week and 3–6 months after split liver transplantation. Case No. 2 and 3 were classified as having a large ischemic area at the retained segment IV portion and other 5 cases were regarded as having a small ischemic area. Contrast-non-enhanced CT scans were taken in 3 cases because of renal dysfunction.
