Two months before and 10 months after diagnosis.
Out-of-pocket expenditure = [∑ (1 – self-reported predicted reimbursement ratio) × medical expenditure of a newly diagnosed course + non-medical expenditure of a newly diagnosed course]/n; n refers to the sample size.
We classified “none at all” and “some, but manageable” as manageable burdens and the other two responses as unmanageable burdens. The Chi-square test was used for subgroup comparison.
