Abstract
The codon frequencies used in 7874 codons from 17 sequences of Plasmodium falciparum have been examined. The frequency distribution is markedly biased. A and C occur with similar frequency in all positions but G is predominantly in the first base and T is predominantly in the last position. This information can be used to predict the coding strand and reading frame of P. falciparum genes.Entities:
