Abstract
BACKGROUND: Thumb ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) tears are common in competitive athletes. These tears often occur as a result of a radially directed force on an extended thumb. To date, no literature exists on the use of suture tape augmentation for repair of the thumb UCL in a competitive athlete cohort. HYPOTHESIS: Using suture tape augmentation for the thumb UCL will allow for a safe and expedient return to play in competitive athletes. STUDYEntities:
