Abstract
The possibility of physical abuse is seldom raised when battered women seek medical treatment. Physicians are often reluctant to broach the subject, and many of these women do not want to reveal their situations. Apart from the injuries incurred in a battering incident, subtle manifestations of an abusive relationship include psychosomatic complaints, stress, anxiety, fear and depression. Suicide may be contemplated or attempted. The children are always affected.Entities:
