Abstract
BACKGROUND: The capacity to regulate emotion is important for individuals' ability to adapt to society, the long-term lack of which can lead to related emotional disorders. However, evaluating whether an emotion-regulation strategy is appropriate requires consideration of the individual's distinct culture and situation. In this study, we compared the anger regulation strategies employed in various interpersonal situations by psychiatric outpatients and a community control group in Taiwan.Entities:
