Diabetes mellitus (DM) was used as a categorical variable, whereas the non‐DM group was used as the reference group. Multivariate analysis adjusted for sex, age, body mass index, smoking status, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, history of prior myocardial infarction, percutaneous coronary intervention or coronary artery bypass grafting and history of cerebral vascular disease.
Glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) value was used as a continuous variable. Multivariate analysis adjusted for sex, age, body mass index, smoking status, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, history of prior myocardial infarction, percutaneous coronary intervention or coronary artery bypass grafting and history of cerebral vascular disease. CI, confidence interval; MVD, multi‐vessel coronary artery disease; OR, odds ratio.
