Abstract
BACKGROUND: Despite improvements in palliative care for critically ill children, the characteristics of end-of-life care for pediatric patients with advanced heart disease are not well-known. We investigated these characteristics among hospitalized children with advanced heart disease in a tertiary referral center in Korea.Entities:

Fig. 1Time interval from the end-of-life care discussion to death in patients who hospitalized for ≥ 7 days (n = 90). Fifty-four patients (54/90, 60%) had end-of-life care discussions, and the time interval from the end-of-life care discussion to death was three days or less for 25 patients (25/54, 46.3%).
