Abstract
BACKGROUND: The spread of carbapenem-resistant A. baumannii (CrAb) is gaining worldwide attention. The spread of this pathogen is largely due to its ability to acquire various resistance genes of intrinsic and extrinsic origins that confer unpredictable susceptibility to β-lactams.
