Abstract
OBJECTIVE. Dual-energy CT is gaining increasing recognition as a valuable diagnostic tool for assessing abdominal neoplasms. Nevertheless, much of the literature has focused on its use in adults. This review article illustrates specific tools available with dual-energy CT in the evaluation of pediatric abdominal neoplasms. Additionally, common imaging artifacts and pitfalls in dual-energy CT of the pediatric abdomen are outlined. CONCLUSION. Dual-energy CT can augment diagnostic yield in the imaging evaluation of pediatric abdominal neoplasms.Entities:
