Abstract
This is the first demonstration of the study of glycan protein turnover in living cells by FTIR with commercially available tetraacetylated N-Azidoacetyl-D-Mannosamine (Ac4ManNAz) label. The FTIR analysis has shown to be able to monitor the metabolism of glycans in living cells in real time. The method is simple, quantitative and requires equipment that are available in many laboratories. It can be used in a wide range of applications such as the study of glycosylation and cell-signalling.Entities:
