Abstract
This manuscript describes the functional properties of the exosomes released from melanoma cells. It details the characteristics of the tumor antigen chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan 4 (CSPG4), which is used as a marker to separate exosomes released by melanoma cells from exosomes released by nonmalignant cells. The results are discussed in view of the potential role of melanoma cell-derived exosomes in the escape of malignant cells from the host's immune system.Entities:
