Abstract
Among carrier-free immobilization techniques, cross-linked enzyme aggregates (CLEA) have been extensively described for a great number of diverse enzymes. During the last two decades, numerous efforts have been devoted to identify and understand the main variables involved in CLEA's preparation process leading to robust immobilized biocatalysts. Since every enzyme immobilized as CLEA requires specific conditions and protocols, herein we provide a general preparation strategy where main parameters are highlighted and correlated with a possible desired improved enzyme feature.Entities:
