Abstract
BACKGROUND: Patients receiving treatment for opioid-use disorder (OUD) may experience psychological symptoms without meeting full criteria for psychiatric disorders. The impact of these symptoms on treatment outcomes is unclear. AIMS: To determine the prevalence of psychological symptoms in a cohort of individuals receiving medication-assisted treatment for OUD and explore their association with patient characteristics and outcomes in treatment.Entities:

Each item in the Maudsley Addiction Profile psychological symptoms subscale is assessed on a five-point Likert scale ranging from ‘never’ (score of 0) to ‘always’ (score of 4) experiencing the symptom. In this table we present the frequency of scores of >1 for each symptom, indicating the presence of the symptom but not the intensity.
A subset of participants received the Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview (MINI) diagnostic interview to identify comorbid psychiatric disorders (n = 666).
Participants identified as meeting criteria for a comorbid mood, anxiety, psychotic or eating disorders using the MINI.
Participants identified as not meeting criteria for a comorbid mood, anxiety, psychotic or eating disorders using the MINI.
