Bronchoesophageal fistula secondary to postpneumonectomy like syndrome caused by bilobectomy and postoperative radiation therapy for lung cancer.

Postpneumonectomy like syndrome is a very rare condition and benign bronchoesophageal fistula (BEF) is also uncommon in the adult. Therefore, the probability of occurrence of BEF secondary to postpneumonectomy like syndrome will be extremely rare, and has not been reported yet in the literature. This is the first case report of postpneumonectomy like syndrome combined BEF after bilobectomy and postoperative radiation therapy for lung cancer. 2019 Annals of Translational Medicine.
