Abstract
Among 174 children with blistering distal dactylitis or paronychia, 36.2% had a positive group A Streptococcus (GAS) rapid detection antigen. For GAS, the outcome for patients who received amoxicillin was favorable in all cases without any surgical procedures; 44.6% of cases due to Staphylococcus aureus infection (38.7%) required surgery.Entities:
