Abstract
An abdominoplasty technique is described that combines vertical and horizontal resection to restore abdominal contour to upper and lower abdomen and mons pubis. The results of this technique in 16 patients (13 women and 3 men) are reviewed. The procedure is suggested for patients with massive weight loss, obesity with a panniculus, and supra-umbilical dermatochalasis with or without multiple abdominal scars. A polio patient with an unexpected improvement in pulmonary function following this procedure is included in this series.Entities:
