Abstract
Dermatophytomas represent a historically difficult-to-treat complication of onychomycosis and are characterized by adherent fungal masses encased in biofilm in the subungual space. In this study, we evaluated the efficacy of 10% efinaconazole solution in patients with onychomycosis complicated by dermatophytomas. Cure was achieved in 65% of target great toenails. All dermatophytomas resolved and did not recur during the study. The median time to dermatophytoma resolution was 16 weeks.Entities:
