Agrobacterium rhizogenes as a vector for transforming higher plants.

M Tepfer1, F Casse-Delbart.

Abstract

Agrobacterium rhizogenes is a natural vector for genetically transforming higher plants. A protocol is given for using this system to insert foreign genes into host plants. Improvements currently being developed in several laboratories are also discussed.
