Abstract
AIM OF THE STUDY: Biliary atresia (BA) is a fibro-inflammatory cholangiopathy of intra- and extrahepatic biliary radicles. The standard-of-care treatment is surgical restoration of bile flow by Kasai hepatoportoenterostomy (HPE).
