Mg: magnesium.
*Stool consistency was reported as per a pre-specified stool scale wherein constipation was defined as pellets/separate hard lumps like nuts or sticky dough-like consistency; normal stool was defined as a soft stool with a smooth consistency. Stool consistency type represents at least 1 report of a type of consistency over the observed period; patients can report more than 1 consistency type over the observed period, therefore types are not mutually exclusive; †Stool frequency is the maximum number of stools reported per day over the observed period; ‡The p-value has been calculated by the χ2 test; §The p-value has been calculated by the Fisher's exact test.
