Abstract
OBJECTIVE: The objective of the study is to investigate the changes of fractional amplitude of low-frequency fluctuations (fALFFs) and functional connectivity (FC) in the brain function of comatose patients with resting-state blood-oxygenation-level-dependent functional magnetic resonance imaging (BOLD-fMRI) and to discuss the underlying neurophysiological mechanism of disease.Entities:

Figure 1Two-sample t-test between the comatose patient group and the control group in resting-state fractional amplitude of low-frequency fluctuation, P < 0.01, cluster size >16 voxels. Blue areas indicate the cerebral regions in which the fractional amplitude of low-frequency fluctuation of comatose patients was significantly lower than the control group

Figure 2Two-sample t-test between the comatose patient group and the control group in FC of the precuneus, P < 0.01, cluster size >16 voxels. Red areas indicate the cerebral regions with more noticeably increased function in the comatose patients than in the control group
