Abstract
BACKGROUND: The burden of mental disorders has been increasingly recognized and 450 million people globally are suffering from mental illness. Mental-physical comorbidity has adverse effects on the overall outcome. Research is scarce with regard to mental health screening in the context of "preventive health care" in India. Thus, the study aimed to identify the prevalence of mental illness and the effect on quality of life (QOL) among participants attending preventive health-care unit (PHCU). SETTINGS ANDEntities:
