Microbodies in yeasts: structure, function and biogenesis.

M Veenhuis1, W Harder.

Abstract

Current knowledge on yeast microbodies is summarized. Emphasis is placed on their proliferation and metabolic function in relation to environmental conditions and the mechanisms involved in their biogenesis.
