Abstract
INTRODUCTION: We previously highlighted the potential link between supplementation with selenium, as an antioxidant trace element, and changes in the levels of paraoxonase (POX1) and myeloperoxidase (MPO), as an antioxidant enzyme, in patients with documented cardiovascular disease (CVD).
