Abstract
BACKGROUND: A study was conducted to evaluate the choroidal thickness (CT) and retinal thickness (RT) in paediatric patients with hypoalbuminaemia caused by nephrotic syndrome (NS). We also studied the correlation between the subfoveal choroidal thickness (SFCT) and serum protein concentration.Entities:

Fig. 1Measurement of RT and CT. RT was measured manually from the inner boundary of the retina to the outer boundary of the RPE, and CT was measured from the outer boundary of the RPE to the inner boundary of the sclera at 0.5-mm intervals along a horizontal line through the macular fovea beginning at the position 2.5 mm to the temporal side of the fovea to the position 2.5 mm to the nasal side of the fovea
