Abstract
Type 2 diabetes mellitus is among the most common diseases seen in primary care practices and can lead to significant complications. Furthermore, more than 7 million Americans are unaware that they even have the disease. This article reviews the screening guidelines and prevention strategies for type 2 diabetes mellitus and discusses the risks and benefits of screening.Entities:
