Abstract
Fluorescein-conjugated monoclonal antibodies have now been developed for use in the diagnosis of chlamydial conjunctivitis. This article discusses a clinical trial involving the use of such antibodies. We found that topical application of fluorescein before obtaining a specimen did not result in a statistically significant rate of false positives in a control group of patients.Entities:
