Abstract
Cysticercosis in human is caused by larva of cyclophyllid cestode named Taenia solium. Worm infestation is quite common in developing countries due to poor sanitation, habit of open defection. This condition primarily involves central nervous system. We present a rare case of myocysticercosis involving the masseter muscle.Entities:

Figure 1Frontal photograph showing diffuse swelling over left side of the face
Figure 2Pretreatment ultrasonograph of the left side of face showed a cystic lesion with increased bulk of the left masseter muscle with heterogenous endotexture
Figure 3Contrast-enhanced computed tomographic scan on axial view showing round hypodense nonenhancing lesion in bulky left masseter muscle
Figure 4Magnetic resonance imaging study revealed small cystic lesion measuring 7 mm × 5 mm showing signal of fluid noted within the fibers of left masseter muscle. Small hypointense focus is also noted within the collection suggestive of calcification
