Cannabis hyperemesis syndrome.

Umesh Sharma1.

Abstract

A young woman with chronic cannabis use presents with 2-day history of cyclical nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. Clinical and laboratory examination excluded other causes. Patient's symptoms improved with topical capsaicin, hot showers, antiemetics and she was subsequently discharged home 4 days later. The patient was educated on side effects of cannabis use and chose to stop cannabis use completely. © BMJ Publishing Group Limited 2018. No commercial re-use. See rights and permissions.
