Abstract
BACKGROUND: It has been implicated that obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is associated with increased risk of cardiovascular disease including stroke, myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease (CAD) and hypertension. The aim of this study was to investigate the correlation between OSA and severity of atherosclerosis assessed by angiography.Entities:

Model 1: unadjusted estimate of Gensini score.
Model 2: adjusted for age, gender, family history, smoking or addiction status, hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, BMI or the presence of MetS.
Model 3: Multiple, stepwise, linear regression to identify best variables explaining the variance in the Gensini score.
