Abstract
AIM: This study compared the efficacy of ProFile Vortex (PV) with that of ProTaper Next (PTN) for the removal of root canal filling material.Entities:

Initial mean volume of the root canal filling material (mm3), mean volume of remnant material after retreatment (mm3), mean percentage of the removed filling material, mean extent of apical transportation at different sections (mm), and the total time required for retreatment (seconds) with ProTaper Next (PTN) and ProFile Vortex (PV).
