Evidence for existence of a cytosol 5'-nucleotidase in chicken heart: comparison of some properties of heart and liver enzymes.

Abstract

A 5'-nucleotidase was purified from chicken heart. Kinetic properties of the enzyme were similar to the cytosol 5'-nucleotidase previously reported for chicken liver and rat liver. This strongly suggests the existence of the same type of the cytosol 5'-nucleotidase in cardiac tissue that has been reported for hepatic tissue of various animals.
