Abstract
BACKGROUND: Despite widespread implementation of policies to address mistreatment, the proportion of medical students who experience mistreatment during clinical training is significantly higher than the proportion of students who report mistreatment. Understanding barriers to reporting mistreatment from students' perspectives is needed before effective interventions can be implemented to improve the clinical learning environment.Entities:

Focus group probing questions.
1. What barriers to reporting mistreatment do you think medical students may have?
2. Under what circumstances would you choose to report mistreatment?
3. Do you feel like you have a clear understanding of what mistreatment is or isn’t?
4. Would anonymous reporting mechanisms help overcome the fear of reprisal?
5. Some students have not reported in the past because mistreatment seems part of the culture of medical education. What is your opinion about that?
