Abstract
OBJECTIVES: Patient-reported symptoms correlate poorly with mucosal inflammation. Clinical decision-making may, therefore, not be based on objective evidence of disease activity. We conducted a study to determine factors associated with clinical decision-making in a secondary care inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) population, using a cross-sectional design.Entities:

The use of anti-TNFα drugs for maintenance therapy in UC was approved by the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence in 2015. The number of UC anti-TNFα users in this cohort is therefore small. This variable has been excluded from multivariate analysis in UC.

The use of anti-TNFα drugs for maintenance therapy in UC was approved by the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence in 2015. The number of UC anti-TNFα users in this cohort is therefore small. This variable has therefore been excluded from multivariate analysis in UC.
