Abstract
In this issue of Virulence, Capel and colleagues describe the use of a unique humanised mouse model to elucidate specific interactions between Neisseria meningitidis and human endothelial cells during blood-borne infection in vivo. Here, a number of the key findings from their study and their implications for our understanding of invasive meningococcal disease are explored.Entities:
