Neighborhood Index 1 reflects areas characterized by high proportions of residents who are foreign-born Latinos who spent more than 30% of household income on housing, live in housing with 1 person per room and a high rate of individuals 25 and older who do not have a high-school education.
Neighborhood Index 2 reflects areas characterized by high proportions of residents who are African American, in single-parent households, and unemployed.
