Musculoskeletal Disorders: Addressing Disparities in Prevalence, Severity, and Treatment.

Lisa C Campbell1.

Abstract

Racial and ethnic disparities in musculoskeletal disorders have been consistently documented in research conducted both nationally and in North Carolina. These disparities represent a higher clinical need that must be met with increased access to safe and effective interventions across medical, pharmacological, and psychosocial/behavioral modalities. ©2017 by the North Carolina Institute of Medicine and The Duke Endowment.
