Abstract
BACKGROUND: Developments in the teaching of children with disabilities support pedagogy that emphasises learners' strengths as opposed to their assumed deficiencies. Educators and mediators who advocate this view continually strive for tools and methodologies that enhance learner participation in academic environments.
