Abstract
Plasma levels of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) appear to be altered in affective disorders and alcoholism. Plasma levels of GABA were not affected by menstrual cycle, exercise, gender, gut flora, nor by cholinergic stimulation by bethanechol. An obvious peripheral source for plasma GABA could not be demonstrated.Entities:
