The candidate variables were: Model J: age, race, resistance, reactance, resistance index, height, weight, BMI, triceps skinfold, waist circumference; Model Q: age, race, resistance, reactance, resistance index; and Models S: resistance, reactance, resistance index. A positive value indicates that the equation overestimated the measured percent body fat and a negative value indicates the equation underestimated the measured percent body fat. NHANES 1999–2004.
