Abstract
Primary malignant melanoma of the genitourinary tract is a rare lesion. We report the case of a 52-year-old man with primary manifestation of metastatic melanoma in the bladder. Multimodal therapy with transurethral tumor resection and systemic interferon/dacarbazine was not successful and the patient died 18 months later. Currently immune checkpoint inhibitors, CTLA-4 (cytotoxic T lymphocyte antigen-4) and PD-L1 are currently being tested in phase III studies and show long-lasting response in the case of classical melanoma manifestations.Entities:
