Prior functional status is defined as: 0 = Brain dead, comatose or persistent vegetative state; 1 = Conscious with severe deficit. Totally dependent; 2 = Conscious and alert with moderate neurological deficit; 3 = Conscious, alert and oriented with normal higher functions. Goodness of fit of the multivariate model: χ2 = 49.0 p<0.001.
