Abstract
G-Quadruplexes are non-canonical secondary structures that can be adopted under physiological conditions by guanine-rich DNA and RNA molecules. They have been reported to occur, and to perform multiple biological functions, in the genomes and transcriptomes of many species, including humans. This chapter focuses specifically on RNA G-quadruplexes and reviews the most recent discoveries in the field, as well as addresses the upcoming challenges researchers studying these structures face.Entities:
