Abstract
PURPOSE: Single incision laparoscopic cholecystectomy (SILC) has become a more frequently performed method for benign gallbladder diseases all over the world. The effects of SILC technique on oxidative stress have not been well documented. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of laparoscopic cholecystectomy techniques on systemic oxidative stress by using ischemia modified albumin (IMA).Entities:

Patient characteristics
Values are presented as mean ± standard deviation or number (%). LC, laparoscopic cholecystectomy; SILC, single incision laparoscopic cholecystectomy; ASA PS, American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status.
Preoperative and postoperative IMA levels of patients
Values are presented as mean ± standard deviation.
IMA, ischemia modified albümin; SILC, single incision laparoscopic cholecystectomy; LC, laparoscopic cholecystectomy; ABSU, absorbance unit.
Comparison of IMA levels in terms of operative time (IMA level of postoperative 45th minutes)
Values are presented as mean ± standard deviation (n).
IMA, ischemia modified albümin; SILC, single incision laparoscopic cholecystectomy; LC, laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
*P < 0.05, statistically significance.
Comparison of IMA levels in terms of operative time (IMA level of postoperative 24th hours)
Values are presented as mean ± standard deviation (n).
IMA, ischemia modified albümin; SILC, single incision laparoscopic cholecystectomy; LC, laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
