Abstract
Peptoniphilus harei is a Gram-positive anaerobic coccus mainly involved in polymicrobial infections. We report a case of peritoneal infection in a patient with intestinal occlusion. A 48-year-old woman presented with ascitis after an occlusive syndrome. Culture of peritoneal fluid resulted on P. harei isolation. Treatment was performed and resolution of this infection was documented.Entities:
