The aggregate was simultaneously incubated with 50 μM of probes 1a-1i (2) and 20% C2H5OH, fluorescent nucleic acid stain (1) and lectin conjugate (4) for 1 h at 25 °C, minerals of biogenic origin were visualized employing their reflection signal (5) (λex = 488 nm, 561 nm, 635 nm). The overlay image of (1) (2) and (4) is shown in (3); the overlay image of all four signals is shown in (6). Brighter colour indicates a higher metal concentration.
