[Impacted femoral neck fractures].

Abstract

During a period of ten years, from 1975 to 1985, 123 impacted neck fractures were treated at our hospital. In eleven patients (about 10%) secondary dislocation occurred making operative intervention necessary. In this study we wanted to find criteria predicting the stability of the so-called impacted femoral neck fractures.
