Abstract
Many commonly accepted principles in tumor metabolism rely on in vitro studies performed under conditions which cannot faithfully recapitulate tumor heterogeneity. Davidson et al. (2016), in this issue of Cell Metabolism, and Hensley et al. (2016) find that the in vivo environment dictates the metabolic phenotype of lung tumors in patients and mouse models.Entities:
