Abstract
The roles of sodium, potassium and magnesium in the etiology of high blood pressure are reviewed. Mechanisms of action for these cations in alterations of systemic blood pressure are discussed. A rationale for the introduction of a new Na-K-Mg salt for the prevention and treatment of hypertension in human subjects is presented. Preliminary results with this new Na-K-Mg salt are promising.Entities:
